Hello and welcome!
This site is dedicated to Warhammer game players and it is loaded with as much information as possible, the best you can find about Warhammer! At least, this is my goal:)
This site, Warhammer Game, is currently more geared toward Warhammer 40k, but there are some Fantasy articles on this site.
Well, to start browsing, just click on a link on the left buttons... Then browse from there. Alternatively you may use the site map.I will always add something new.
The blog is going to be both my Painting blog and just a normal blog, so check often to see progress on my armies, or subscribe to my RSS feed.
My Story:
I first bought “Battle for Macragge”, the 40k starter set, about five years ago, when I was almost 10 years old. I played with it for two years, and finally, I couldn’t resist. I had to get myself an army. Then, two years later, I started playing Fantasy. Even though I am almost 15 now, I feel that my passion for this game will last for a very long time!
By the way, I noticed that many people are playing a Warhammer game - or games - even when they are well pass the teenage years. It must be something there, don't you think?
In the meantime, while having lots of fun, you will develop many useful skills, such as designing and painting,creativity and thinking-forward strategies.!
What is This Game About?
If you are thinking “what is this game about?”, then read on: Warhammer is a table-top strategy game produced by Games Workshop.
The Games:
There are two main games made, and they are the Fantasy Universe game and the 40K Universe. On my website you will find pages dedicated to the history and fluff of both universes.
Fantasy Universe:
The Fantasy Universe is set during medieval ages, with mythical themes such as Dragons, Elves, Magic, Chaos, Dwarfs, etc. It is slightly more tactical then Warhammer 40k.
Warhammer 40K Universe:
Wahammer 40000 is set in the 41st millennium, and as such, focuses on a more science fiction style of a game. Of course, the game uses science fiction themes, such as the Imperium of Man, wishing to conquer the entire galaxy and bring it under their rule.
Tyranids, for example, are the ‘unstoppable force’! Dubbed the “The great devourer” they consume every bit of a planet they set their eyes on.
Wrapping up:
Both games are highly strategic, and play like an advanced hybrid of Risk and Chess. You would move pieces to one another, and basically have a miniature war.
When you decide what to do, you roll dice to see what happens.
