Warhammer 40k Eldar
The Warhammer 40k Eldar is an ancient race, using really advanced weapons and technology, rivaling the Necrons' similarly advanced weapons.
They have really cool-looking models, from the basic guardian, to the awesome Wraithlord and Fire Prism!
Advantages: This is the kind of army that is INCREDIBLE at one thing: it is godly at specializing units for one specific role. For example, this army can customize special units for killing marines easily.
Disadvantages:
On the other hand, they suck at the other things. The same army that would be highly effective at taking down marines would be horrible against Tyranids, which use so many models it’s not even funny…
Tactics:
This army have many possible tactics, similar to Tau, with the addition of some nifty close combat units. You will see them mobile, static, assaulty, or a mix of the three. Definitely, it is not a boring army!
Let me explain a little more: a mobile army usually means lots of jet-bikes, wave serpents, and grav-tanks for anti-tanks purposes. This kind of army is extremely, extremely good at taking objectives fast, basically dropping off the units at the objective and blasting everything within sight, claiming the objective.
Another important idea is to take advantage of the Eldar’s awesome walkers and monstrous creatures: Avatars, War Walkers, and the awesome Wraithlord.
Wraithlords are incredible at taking out heroes, and bloody marvelous at nuking tanks with either its Bright Lance or its strength 10 punch. Ouch, that’s going to leave a mark! Always keep in mind its toughness! This means not much is going to hurt it. Just don’t march it up to a large rending unit such as Genestealers and expect it to survive though!
Warhammer 40k Eldar is a difficult army to master, but when you do, you are unstoppable!
