Warhammer Dwarfs

Warhammer Dwarfs are a race of very short humanoids, similar to the dwarves in many other fantasy worlds. Dwarfs in the Warhammer setting are proud warriors highly driven by honor that never forget anything (fluff wise:)



Dwarfs are a common army, and often seen on the battlefield. They also often have war engines, as they are usually more powerful then other races. For example, they even have some runes that can assist you in many ways, such as giving you a chance to re-roll a mis-fire, etc.

These deadly engines of war are fashioned by their Engineers with an ingenuity that goes far beyond any other race. Unwilling to use wild magic, Dwarfs inscribe runes to bind it and thereby create weapons of legend, unparalleled anywhere in the Old World.” - Quote from Games Workshop site. Dwarfs distrust magic, and as such, do not use any magic. However, Dwarfs are much more resistant to magic then other races; they get advantages to dispel enemy magic.

Dwarf Warriors usually form the bulk of most Dwarf armies, while other troops may be geared toward long-range fire or close combat. They are somewhat like Eldar in this respect – you must utilize the army as a whole. Some units may be great at one thing but suck horrendously at another. You must use different regiments to compensate for each other.


Warhammer Dwarfs are by far one of the most technologically advanced race, so why not take advantage of it?


Dwarfs can use Gyrocopters, which can move really fast, and use Steam Gun that uses a teardrop template. This is very effective versus weaker units that have a low armor save. Whoops, where did those skinks go?
